The North Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation Network (NCLEAN) is dedicated to improving and maintaining professional law enforcement services
in the State of North Carolina.

The network has traditionally focused on supporting the process of law enforcement accreditation through CALEA.
CALEA is an international accrediting body for Law Enforcement Agencies, Communications Agencies, and Training Academies. Their purpose is to improve the delivery of public safety services, primarily by maintaining a body of standards developed by public safety practitioners, covering a wide range of up-to-date public safety initiatives, establishing and administering an accreditation process, and recognizing professional excellence.

The network is also a positive resource for the emerging NC Law Enforcement Accreditation (NCLEA) program.
