Jacqui Boykin
Chief of Police, Zebulon Police Department
Jacqui Boykin is the Chief of Police in Zebulon NC. She began her law enforcement career in Wilson NC, serving there for 18 years as a as patrol officer, detective, administrative sergeant, and Accreditation Manager before leaving for a command staff position in Knightdale NC. As a Captain, she oversaw all support service functions of the department. In November 2020, Jacqui was appointed Chief in Zebulon NC, on the eastern edge of the capitol county. Jacqui holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from North Carolina State University. She is a North Carolina State Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, specializing in driver’s training. She teaches Basic Law Enforcement and In-Service Training. Chief Boykin attended the 264th Session of the FBI National Academy and currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the NC Chapter of FBI National Academy Associates. Though attending NA was the highlight of her professional career, her life’s most significant accomplishments are her two sons- Harlee (19) and Branson (18).
